Gemstones are mined from a variety of locations across the globe. We only work with mines that are sympathetic to the environment and with materials that are in plentiful supply.

The process of creating DeskSpace involves a lengthy process of choosing, washing and shaping the various gems:
The individual gemstones raw blocks are then washed ready for processing into smaller shapes.
Diamond edge saws then cut the gems into cubes and into the right sizes for each of the planets.
Each cube is then shaped by hand into a sphere using a diamond grit grinding wheel by one of our dedicated and experienced craftsmen. This process is done by eye and takes true precision.
Materials from the nature born in different way, just like some other precious gemstone like rubies, we might need additional treatment in order to make the sphere perfectly shaped, this is including oil, max and filler, it depends on the actual material needed.
We do test the materials as well. Analysis needed to produce by gemologist, we works with GIA (Gemological Institute Of America) for Identification Report, Origin Report, and Analytical Report.

For new products and special editions, we’ll sometimes open up a pre-order system so that you can guarantee that you’ll get yours first! When you order something as a ‘pre-order’, this means that the item is not yet ready, is still being developed or is currently being manufactured. We could be in pre-order mode for any number of reasons:
We’re releasing a product early as there has been a considerable amount of interest for the first batch. The balance will be taken first and this is on a first-come-first-served basis, on the next batch.
We’ve sold out of a product and are waiting for the next shipment. Depending on the specific lead times, the next shipment could be anything from a few days to a few months away due to the supplier of the nature materials. You’ll be advised of the estimated shipping date, and if you have any further questions then please do get in touch.
We will make our best estimate for a shipping date of new products on pre-order, although the very nature of manufacturing a product for the first time means that the shipping date can shift in either direction.
If you have ordered a mix of pre-order products and in stock products, in stock products will be shipped until the pre-order items come into stock. You can contact us if you wish otherwise.
The majority of carriers we use will supply a personal tracking number for each package. When we have these, we will send your tracking code to you automatically.
We use DHL as our main carrier, however due to the DHL system, however, DHL only accept the English written address, for the rest, we use EC-Ship services, an online portal developed by Hong Kong Post Office.
Please always include a telephone number when placing an order, as it allows the couriers to contact you if they’re having trouble delivering.
If you bought your product via our website, deskspace.store, you can return the product for a full refund within the first 7 days of receiving the item as long as the packaging has not been opened. Email us and let us know why you’d like to return the product, we’ll then send you returns information.
Please don’t return a product without getting in touch beforehand because we won’t know who has sent us the package. When returning something to us, it’s best to use our shipping service provider’s postage box to prevent any further damage in the post that we are not responsible for. We’ll issue a full refund to you as soon as we receive the product.
If you change your mind about what you’ve bought, then the first step is to speak to the store where you made the purchase. The returns policy will vary between physical stores and online stores.
If you believe that you have a faulty product, then please do get in touch with us via email. Our standard manufacturers warranty will cover your product regardless of where it was bought and since we know our products inside out, we’re in the best position to help you with your queries and offer some immediate help.
At Deskspace we want to build our product with nature materials and we don’t provide any warranty on nature materials.
Each ‘planet’ is made from a different gemstone, please note some of the raw materials have naturally occurring internal voids. Occasionally our awesome products will develop unforeseen issues from the manufacturing process and we apologise in advance to the few deskspace supporters who experience these issues.
